Light Pollution Map 1.1.22

The map showcases VIIRS, World Atlas, Clouds, Aurora, and IAU observatories with user-provided SQM measurements overlaid on Microsoft Bing base maps (road and hybrid options).

Originally designed to present VIIRS and DMSP data in a user-friendly manner, the map has evolved to include additional overlays pertaining to light pollution such as SQM/SQC, World Atlas 2015 zenith brightness, cloud cover, aurora forecasts, and IAU observatories. Users with permanent SQM readers can opt to integrate their data into the map by contacting the administrator via email.

For in-depth analysis of radiance changes over time using VIIRS/DMSP data, users are encouraged to utilize the Lighttrends application (accessible under the Help section).
